ACHAIA RAVIZEE
Change
Being a leader for the National Society of Black Engineers is an extremely humbling experience. My multiple years of service added value to how people feel about themselves, their community and new opportunities they have for a better future. Due to hard work and commitment to the National Society of Black Engineers, becoming Miss NSBE broadened my ability to change the mindset and work ethic of young adults and showed numerous high school and college students that academic excellence is cool. My executive board and I have visually seen the impact, growth, and graduation of engineering scholars to six figure corporate jobs and careers that better the world. Although my daily schedule of personal academic merit, leadership responsibilities, conference calls and research service is difficult to balance, change in people is worth my time and the reason why I chase my vision and mission.
